Job Description:

Our client looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our engineering teams and drive technical excellence across the organization.

As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise to oversee all aspects of the engineering department. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams to drive innovation, product development, managing multiple projects, executing company's engineering strategy, ensuring successful product development and technological advancement within the organization. This role plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's technical vision and ensuring the successful execution of projects with efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership to multiple engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture. Mentor and develop team members, conduct performance evaluations, and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

2. Technical Strategy: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with the company's overall goals. Translate business objectives into actionable engineering plans and roadmaps.

3. Team Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standard. Effectively manage resources and risks and make data-driven decisions to optimize project outcomes.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, design, and other key stakeholders to define project requirements, set milestones, and ensure seamless collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.

5. Technical Excellence: Drive engineering best practices, quality assurance, and code review processes to maintain a high level of technical excellence and ensure scalable and maintainable software solutions. Identify opportunities for innovation and propose technology-driven solutions to business challenges.

6. Talent Acquisition and Development: Participate in the recruitment process to attract top engineering talent. Develop and nurture a skilled and motivated team, providing coaching, training, and professional growth opportunities.

7. Technology Evaluation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements, evaluate new technologies, and make informed recommendations to improve product performance and efficiency.

8. Budget and Resource Planning: Collaborate with the executive team in defining the engineering budget and effectively allocate resources to maximize productivity and deliver results in a cost-effective manner.

9. Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and challenges in projects and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.

10. Compliance and Security: Ensure that engineering practices align with industry standards, data security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

The candidate must possess:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven track record (12+ years) of successful leadership in engineering roles, managing complex projects and high-performing teams.

- 10+ years of experience in managing enterprise scale technology solutions.

- 5+ years of experience in AWS Cloud based solutions.

- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and engineering principles with expertise in programming languages, frameworks, and development methodologies relevant to the organization's technology stack.

- Proven expertise with cross-functional collaboration to achieve the best results.

- Ability to formulate a product roadmap, develop and execute on a multi-year plan, and deliver tangible value to our technology and business partners.

- Collaborate on the cloud and data strategy for the platform.

- Continuously develop & maintain outstanding team expertise and talent to support the squads & groups with the right level of knowledge and skills.

- Supervising the performance of team members, providing feedback and mentoring

- Sharing knowledge and expertise within and outside of the team - ensuring the "how" of the work performed by the teams is aligned with established road maps and guardrails.

- Enforce existing engineering practices and setting new ones as and when needed.

- Understanding of modern software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.

- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with scalable and high-availability infrastructure.

- Demonstrated ability to define and execute a strategic technical vision in alignment with business goals.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a data-driven approach.
