My Client a Fortune 500 MNC is seeking a Director – Government Sales to handle operations in India interacting with Central and State Government of India.

The Role:

- The ideal candidate must have vast experience in developing Government clients whilst delivering mission critical results. The individual must have a documented record of strong, decisive executive leadership in Strategic planning, Sales and Marketing, Channel and Network Management, Training and Development, Recruitment and Technical Business Solutions.

- The individual must possess an integrated set of competencies that encompass areas related to P&L accountability, direct marketing, account management, distribution management, product launches, advertisement and promotional campaigns.

- The candidate must be achievement driven with high performance management along with outstanding qualifications in all phases of business development functions, expanding international footprint, building shareholder value, driving vision and achieving critical strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

- Prospecting, Identifying and Developing new Govt. clients

- Conducting commercial negotiations with Central & State Government Departments

- Tendering / Budgeting / Liaisoning

- Exploring & Identifying the potential clients for PSU & Govt. Business

- Evaluating the Tender / RFP / RFI, preparing the quotations

- Analysing leads and opportunities to identify prospects and strategize sales pitch

- Liaisoning with Implementation and Development Team to fulfil commitments to clients

- Costing / Budgeting

- Responsible for P&L

Essential Skills:

- Must have a minimum of 20 years experience in Government Sales

- Familiarity with PSU & Govt. Initiatives

- Managed New Business with Strategy, Business Development, Sales, Operations and P&L.

- Excellent Collaborative ability with team across India and globally

- Possess the entrepreneurial ability in building credibility and delivering customer confidence through focussed business initiatives

- Holistic approach in overseeing the provision of business focus solutions in a fast paced environment

- Must Excel in devising and implementing strategies to ensure smooth sales and marketing activities including project execution, attainment of profit targets, promotion of products and services whilst achieving the big picture – business and company goals.
