Director - Government Relations - South Asia
- Development and implementation of a Government Relations strategy in all the South Asian markets but with focus on Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives to achieve agreed business objectives
- Communication with government stakeholders that supports business objectives and enhances the company reputation
- Develop actions to allow governments, politicians, and regulators to understand and value company role resulting in an absence of regulatory barriers to industry expansion
- Identify legislative, regulatory, and political threats to, or opportunities for company business in the region
- Establishment and maintenance of a database of who we know and who we need to know, key contact dates, and opportunities for engagement
- Ensure adequate and ongoing country manager contact with key lawmakers and regulators;
- Establish and maintain appropriate contact with counterparts at other industry participants, including banking and trade associations
- Reports directly into the Senior Director & Head of Government Relations based in India.
- Works very closely with LAC and global GR teams, country management, and other relevant functional teams
NOTE-
Should have work experience in Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/ Nepal, preferably in the international developmental agencies (such as World Bank, International Finance Corporation, UN), corporate, regulatory agencies or public sector
