Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced individual to lead our carbon markets team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the regulated and voluntary carbon markets, project origination, and the major voluntary carbon registries (Verra, Gold Standard, etc). Expertise in REDD+ project development, Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) applications, and a strong passion for leveraging innovative technologies to drive the carbon market forward. This position offers an exciting opportunity to pioneer advances in the carbon market in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Oversee and manage all aspects of carbon project origination, development, and management.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key carbon market stakeholders, including project developers, carbon exchanges, and corporations managing forestry assets.
- Lead engagements with regulated and voluntary carbon registries, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and protocols.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the carbon management team, offering guidance, coaching, and leadership to team members.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in the carbon markets, with a focus on project origination and management.
- Extensive experience working with major regulatory and voluntary carbon registries such as Verra and Gold Standard.
- Proven track record in REDD+ project development.
- Demonstrated experience with MRV applications.
- Passionate about harnessing technology to drive innovation in the carbon market.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Consulting experience in Tier 1 organisation and carbon industry is preferable
- ESG Experience is a must

Education Qualifications :
- Post graduate Degree in Business Management or Sustainability Management
- Undergraduate Degree in Engineering from a Tier I Institute (preferable)
