Director - ESG Assurance - Global Auditing Firm

Roles & responsibilities :

- Performing ESG Gap Assessment and providing subject matter expertise to validate the services and solutions that will form part of the delivery model

- Developing a process and protocol for providing ESG Assurance services

- Evaluate the social impact arising out of business activities, on the community, supply chain, employees and other stakeholders

- Defining business processes that will maximise quality and provide a seamless experience for member firms

- Developing assets for use in delivery (e.g. technology, templates, frameworks) to ensure a standardised service that delivers consistency

- Partnering with local country professional practice colleagues to understand local regulatory requirements and the impact on solution deployment

- Connecting with member firms and global thought leaders to identify existing content, technologies, and other accelerators to support the service and drive consistency

- Experience and knowledge about commonly applied global standards including DJSI, SustainAlytics, BRSR, TCFD, GRI, CDP, SDG, SASB, UNGC, UDHR etc.

- Partnering with change and communications professionals to develop both training materials, as well as an effective member firm activation and adoption program Delivery

- Building an ESG Assurance delivery centre team, shaping a new team to deliver high quality specialist support to member firms and clients which will include:

a. Leading and managing a team comprising of fresh graduates and experienced professionals.

b. Monitoring work, managing and motivating the team to ensure deliverable meet necessary quality standards.

c. Sharing knowledge, mentoring and coaching the team members.

d. Identification of issues/missing information and managing & tracking the open issues until resolved.

e. Maintaining the data confidentiality and adherence to the risk management policy by the team members.

f. Performance review of the team.

g. Review of the team's work and to provide timely feedback to team members to enable them to improve their performance.

h. Building relationships with (senior) stakeholders and affiliate firms

i. Regular Tracking of KPIs and reporting to management.

Qualifications :

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelor/Master's degree in business, Sustainability, Energy, Engineering, Environmental studies from an accredited college/university required; Post graduate degree from an accredited college/university preferred

- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in the field of ESG Assurance, with specialization in the "Environment" domain

Mandatory Technical & Functional Skills :

- Experience in delivering ESG/Sustainability Assurance engagements

- Passion for and understanding of centralization opportunities within ESG Assurance

- Experience leading, executing, and deploying projects with multiple workstreams

- Ability to make quick, sound decisions and work in an agile way

- Strong executive communication skills (written and verbal) and a collaborative mindset

- Ability to work with geographically diverse teams, work through obstacles, complexity, and uncertainty to reach our collective goals

- Strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple deliverables with conflicting deadlines

Preferred Technical & Functional Skills :

- Experience designing, implementing, and activating new delivery center services

- Experience leveraging other technologies in the delivery of financial audits

- As firm policy permits, willingness to travel domestically or internationally

- Strong leadership skills
