Director - Engineering - Product Firm

Looking for Director of Engineering for Product based Company - Bangalore

- 2+ years of managing/growing engineering teams of 10+ people.

- Experience in working with startups scaling at a breakneck pace

- Proven ability to build a high-performance engineering team, including recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and delivery

- Experience in working closely with the company leaders including the technical founder, senior business leaders, product managers, operations to drive engineering & product strategy and drive the execution

- Strong technical competence and the ability to architect, design, and code highly scalable systems are required to gain credibility from the team.

- Strong desire towards technology and who loves to be hands-on whenever required.

- Experience in building, leading & managing large multi-engineer projects, and mentoring top-notch engineers

- The ability to think and plan strategically for the technical needs of the company

- Strong inclination towards engineering excellence and constantly iterating on the processes to deliver high-quality applications.

- Ability to work with ambiguity in high paced environments

- Strong people and project management skills. Proactively identify and resolve issues relating to people, product, tech, and process.

- Proven ability to build 0-1 systems and scaling systems for massive scale

- Strong understanding of Microservice architecture and proven experience in building and scaling distributed systems.

- Strong knowledge of OOPs principles, Design Patterns, and Entity design.

- Exposure/working knowledge of datastores such as DynamoDB, Mysql, MongoDB, Neo4j, Cassandra, Redis.

- Working knowledge of Apache Kafka, Elastic Search, Apache Spark, Airflow, Druid, and proven ability to adapt to any of the open-source technologies is a must.

- Very good knowledge/understanding of cloud architecture is required.
