JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage and own the product/technology roadmap plans - Manage, train & motivate a team of high-pedigree, high-performance engineers from premier educational institutes - Collaborate effectively with the CTO's office & the executive leadership for in-sync progress - Translating technical & functional requirements into project plans & schedules - Maintaining & implementing a progressive & coherent development strategy for the product line/s - Own the systems development lifecycle - Lead delivery of high quality applications within budgets and on time - Helping evolve the software engineering practice, especially on aspects like development methodology, reporting and tools SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Leadership/people management; product & technology roadmap building skills - Team & people management, especially w.r.t design & architecture and the review of these; management of conflict; performance management - Adept at building real-time, complex distributed systems - Very good experience in Java/J2EE applications - Very good experience of NoSQL technologies viz. Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra or other NoSQL databases - Hands-on with any of the queuing frameworks like RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS or Apache Kafka - Very good at database design and SQL development
