Director - Engineering - B2B SaaS Firm

Company is looking for a - Director of Engineering- to join the team.

You will collaborate with Software Engineers, Business Analysts, and Clients in various markets, understand client requirements and translate them into technical requirements. You will have the opportunity to innovate, design, develop, deliver, and support software services for our enterprise clients globally.

Responsibilities :

- Translate client requirements into technology requirements/specifications, design, and develop required functionality into appropriate software modules and services/systems.

- Interact with stakeholders (Developers, Business Analyst,s and Client in other teams) to understand their requirements and to gather feedback.

- Own management of client onboarding, integrations, and data pipeline in the cloud, monitor and troubleshoot/debug issues to ensure SLAs

- Architect design & develop full-stack modules and components. Should be hands-on in the end to end technology stack development.

- Planning of multiple projects and good understanding record of time estimate vs actual delivery.

- Hire, mentor, and develop junior developers in the team.

- Evangelist for high-quality products and raising the bar in engineering practices such as code quality, reviews, agility, etc.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them to our products.

Required Experience :

- Overall experience in application development and supporting them for enterprise clients

- Excellent understanding and experience in web development using Python, Java, React, Ruby, Vue, etc.

- Experience in data processing frameworks like Spark, Kafka, Pulsar

- Knowledge of container technologies - Docker, K8s, etc.

- Good understanding and experience in distributed systems.

- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

- Prior experience with Enterprise SaaS platforms is a plus.

- Prior experience in Advanced Analytics is a plus.

- Internalized and practices agile best practices from software architecture to product deployment.

- Experience in performance management, hiring, and mentoring

- Experience in managing a decent sized team in the past.
