Director - Direct Tax Technology

Responsibilities - 

- Work with service lines and clients to understand enterprise operational requirements for tax processes including documenting tax processes and organization, analyzing tax data/calculations/reports, and understanding technology environment and interfaces

- Proactively identifying and facilitating necessary process and technology modifications resulting from tax law or regulatory changes, etc. Apply financial reporting standards and tax technical guidance to processes and technology

- Lead team in identifying data and information requirements for ERP, Hyperion and/or Tax Data Warehouse implementations, configuration of off-the-shelf tax systems, test implementations, and training client personnel

- Implement new system enhancements by gathering and documenting business / function requirements, and partnering with Corporate IT to identify and test.

- Identify opportunities to streamline use of data, identify process improvements and coordinate with tax service lines on increasing efficiencies through technology, clearly documenting requirements and managing through execution.

- Developing and managing strong stakeholder relationships to align on tax operations strategy and execution.

- Lead multiple engagements while providing leadership to client service teams

- Build and manage client relationships across client enterprise groups to drive growth

We need a Director with excellent communication to engage with partners in different SBUs and can also deal with clients and understand their requirement.

There are 3 Aspects of this role -

1. Tax Knowledge (US/UK/India Tax)

2. Technology (Implementation Knowledge) - Implementation experience of tax products. Implementation experience should be beyond just using the tax products like one source.

3. Technology (Coding/SAP/ERP). We do not need Coder as it will be taken care by separate technology team.
