Director - Direct Tax - CA Firm

We are currently retained by leading CA Firm to hire for Director Level - Direct Tax role

Would require some experience in Direct Tax in articleship / post articleship

Role & Responsibilities Synopsis :

- Independently handle tax engagements. Prepare submissions, attend to assessment and appeal hearings before the CIT(A) and Tribunals.

- Lead and coordinate the tax management of assignments, with guidance from the Partner and manage risk and independence issues on client engagements.

- Working with a team of alteast 3-4 people (reporting to him/her). Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects and assess the performance of staff for engagement reviews; perform in-charge role as needed.

- Take responsibility for proper tax filing and tax document retention in relation to the direct tax compliance matters.

- Be actively involved in business development activities to identify and research on opportunities on new/ existing clients. Assist tax partners and senior management on proposals and business development calls.
