Credit Risk IT IB (CRIT) is part of Risk & Finance IT (RFIT) and supports the Credit Risk Management group within the Risk Division, responsible for Credit Risk Management, Credit Scenario & Stress Testing, Stressed RWA, Credit Limit approval and monitoring availability.

CRIT teams are located across London, US, Singapore, Zurich, Poland and India with over 700+ staff globally, ~60% permanent, contract and vendor staff in India.

Responsibilities

Delivery

- A challenging and exciting senior role reporting functionally to the Global Head of Credit Risk IT Methodology and for regional India responsibilities into the Global Head of Credit Risk IB IT.

- As part of the global Credit Risk IT methodology management team, be responsible for establishing & heading the Credit Methodology team for CR IT India and globally for related application coverage.

- You will have the opportunity to join a dynamic and exciting environment, and learn multiple aspects of investment banking technology in an international team.

- Be accountable & take functional ownership of deliveries for the global team for related applications.

- Responsible for all departmental level operations, business functional delivery and stakeholder relationship management. Boost efficiency, reduce costs, and foster innovation. Deliver top initiatives for the bank (in strong cross-divisional collaboration where needed). Achieve financial and portfolio targets. Establish divisional IT strategy, design governance, innovation in line with Group IT. Manage and comply with standards and requirements. Contribute to the IT-wide human capital agenda and culture.

- Responsible for all human capital processes, staff assignments, career development, day to day operations, delivery, technology strategy, budget, SLAs and KPIs.

- Agile functional delivery of highly complex regulatory and business critical programs.

- Be responsible for working with the global CR IT leads to ensure we deliver on regulatory commitments, drive operational improvements and maintain sustainable application platforms.

- Work with project managers to budget and resource projects and agree development work plans.

- Recruit new hires globally into the development and related functional teams.

- Provide training and knowledge transfer to the development and support team.

- Own and review best practices artefacts, perform checks on an ongoing basis, and produce metrics to track quality.

- Act as principal point of contact for application platform related support during UAT and QA test phases. Drive increased production stability and user experience through eliminating debt and left shift, self-service opportunities.

- Point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving post-release issues found in production.

- Monitor, coach, support, motivate and develop team members (as applicable) to enable them to deliver to best of their abilities.

- Focus on production support, performance; stability and scalability of the calculation application portfolio ensuring business impact downtime issues are minimal with no repeat offenders. Pro-actively follow up on corrective closure measures and ensure best in class 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support teams and structure in place to deal immediately with any business incidents that do arise.

Experience

- Minimum 15+ years of experience in the Investment Banking and/or Credit Risk domains.

- Engineering degree in Computer science or equivalent.

- Proven experience in building and driving effective application development teams dealing with budgets in excess of 20 million CHF yearly.

- Proven track record of managing large teams of multiple job families (AD, BA, QA, and PM) across locations and functional expertise.

- Effective project and program management skills.

- Previous experience in a significant change programs in an investment bank cross multiple parallel programs.

- Strong management experience in managing development & vendor teams.

- Clear ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in written / presentation form.

- Ability to effectively design, collaboratively gain alignment and successfully execute large change initiatives from project start to finish.

- Good knowledge of investment banking front office business.

- Knowledge of the regulatory environment relevant for large complex financial institutions.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills - ability to interact effectively with all the levels of management.

- Experience working within an on-shore/off-shore systems development and support environment.
