Director - Corporate Strategy - eCommerce

Corporate Strategy team facilitates the development of long term growth strategy, and high-impact business and operational decisions. It leverages fact-based analyses and consumer insights to shape strategic focus for Company. The team works directly with the CEO and the top management of the Company. The team collaborates with leaders across functions to ensure seamless execution of recommended strategic initiatives.

As a member of the Corporate Strategy team, you will play a pivotal role to

- Develop a deep understanding of consumer Internet in India from a technology perspective

- Help develop long-term Product Strategy for Company with a strong customer and market-backed perspective

- Work with cross-functional partners (product, data science, engineering, user research) to surface opportunities and threats, outline data-driven strategic decisions, and frame actionable product

Recommendations :

- Influence experienced product leaders based on findings

- Evaluate new business initiatives and opportunities by bringing together outside-in customer and market view with inside-out understanding of capabilities and what it takes to win

- Drive implementation of key initiatives for growth, customer experience, operational effectiveness and service

- Help with Product level diligence efforts on M&A and Venture Investments

- Think beyond the immediate problem statements, to create long-term, end-to-end perspective, and demonstrate the ability to proactively identify strategic opportunities

This role will provide a great seat-at-the-table to learn and influence the development of consumer internet in India and will act as a launch pad for impact in horizontal and vertical roles over a period of time

Key Qualifications:

- 10+-12 years of total experience across Management Consulting / Investment Banking / Venture Capital and with experience in Technology / Product

- Tier 1 engineering and management colleges

- Superior analytical skills including strong ability to identify and solve highly ambiguous problems

- Ability to synthesize complex topics and distill key business dynamics

- Ability to collaborate with different teams including Architecture, Design, Engineering, Operations, using superior influencing skills, and strong senior-level communication abilities to drive decisions

- Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing and sometimes unpredictable work environment

- Direct experience working with technology: Mobile, Cloud, eCommerce etc

- The upbeat and collaborative teammate who can both be an IC and manage a team

- Analytical thinker who is data-driven, with a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs
