Job title: Director Corporate Affairs

Reports to: Head Corporate Affairs

Purpose:

Responsibilities

- To create & drive government relations & policy framework for success of E-commerce Business especially of my clients Group in India.

- Creating / representing the company in relevant Associations / forums @ domestic & global platforms for enabling the advocacy of the Ecosystem for my clients success.

- To effectively manage the Central & State Government relationships with all relevant Ministries / authorities /departments for the success of our businesses.

- Collaborate with all internal & external stakeholders and put right levers / measurable / processes in place for effective success of the advocacy & business.

- Working with the State Government - departments / authorities for smooth support on all business related matters eg. - Police, Labour, Vat, Finance, etc

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for enabling the credibility / brand image of the organization.

- To work relentlessly in preventing obstructions/hindrances to businesses efficiency and fire-fighting in case of emergencies.

- To help in business development.

- To assist the Head of Corp Affairs

- To meet, engage, deliberate and build relations with Central/State Ministries, Govt representatives, parliamentarians and other opinion leaders .

- To build my clients' image on the principles of transparency, professional conduct and best ethical practices and be a trusted advisor of the Company.

Skills and Qualification:

The job of the Corporate Affairs in this new, no place to hide environment is to understand the external influences. You've got to know what your reputation is and how it can be damaged, or protected and enhanced. You must be able to stand up and get counted when the occasion demands. You must not be afraid to speak out, but one must do it, within the grain of the organisation and not against it. The most important quality in our job is judgement- the ability to understand different and complex points of view.

- 6-10 years of experience in regulatory/legislative/political/policy experience in dealing with the Government officials in the India, specifically pertaining to e-commerce, retail, & technology policy issues

- Significant experience in government affairs and public policy, including industry affairs and coalition building.

- Significant experience in project management and coordination of multiple stakeholders

- Strong demonstrated critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills, including public policy and political analysis, as well as strong written and verbal communications.

- Demonstrated capability to organize and lead a multi-faceted external affairs strategy that integrates a range of tactical initiatives, relationships and assets for the achievement of key public affairs, political and public policy objectives.

- Integrity Demonstrated career professional adherence to the highest ethical, moral, and personal values and standards in decisions, communications, actions, regulatory adherence, and professional dealings with others
