We have an urgent opportunity for compensation Accounting.

Please find below details.

Role :

This is a senior management role providing significant autonomy and requiring full leadership of and accountability for all Compensation services. The chosen leader will manage an 40+ person organization primarily located in Pune. The individual will report into the company's Head of Compensation and will be responsible for providing direct line manager oversight for Service Delivery Managers and their teams.

The Compensation Service Manager contributes to the operational management of Compensation Controlling through direct supervisory line management, practical application and preparation of the information at the appropriate management level.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manages multiple teams and is responsible for the delivery of the Compensation Accounting services and for relationships with vendors and partners.

- Provides direct line manager oversight for Service Delivery Managers and their teams

- Responsible for ensuring that controls and processes are in place to enable the accurate monthly billing, accruing and posting of deferred compensation and benefits granted within the company to the business unit making the award

- Ensure appropriate interpretation, implementation and ongoing affirmation of Compensation accounting standards

- Ensure appropriate financial representations and disclosures which are compliant with policy across the firm

- Provide timely, action oriented analysis and advice, supporting the business in making sound decisions and act as trusted, independent partner of the business

- Significant strategic and global impact around operational effectiveness, process improvement and people management

- Support for SOX302 assurance and SOX404 risk assessment

- Definition and continuous improvement of procedures and procedural controls

Key Deliverables :

- Interpretive assessment and application of Compensation accounting standards to ensure booking model and reporting compliance across Compensation business lines, including new or bespoke transactions

- Appropriate standardized interpretation, application and execution of Compensation policy, principles and guidance and Compensation related activities across Compensation business lines

- Preparation of high quality management information, analysis and financial advice to support management decisions

- Takes lead in pro-active risk management and supervision within the Compensation complexes.

- Assures that Service Delivery Management teams are supervising appropriately and in accordance with firm and regulatory policies.

Qualities, Skills, and Experience Required :

- Ambition to take on additional responsibility and grow career

- Bachelor's degree required

- MBA or PhD desired

- Strong Compensation Controlling knowledge

- 10-15 years finance experience

- Accounting qualifications

- Fluent in English (verbal and written)

- Decision-making ability incorporates an appropriate balance of risk control and business needs

- Demonstrable senior-management-level speaking, writing, presentation-building, and presentation-delivery skills

- Exhibits courage and conviction in the face of contrary views

- Experience building and managing large teams

- Near shoring and off shoring experience

- Knowledge of performance measurement and cost basis desired

- Team player with strong organizational skills and ability to make decisions and exercise sound judgment under pressure

- Exceptional service management focusing on increasing efficiencies and supporting new initiatives within the firm
