Director- Communications ,Leading University in AP

Responsibilities:


- Implement the Vision & Mission of the institution and accordingly plan, develop & implement communication strategy, key messages and detailed plan focusing on building the university's brand.

- Discuss with all key stakeholders in the university and prepare a list of annual initiatives and targets for the institution (collective and department wise) pertaining to communications and work towards fulfillment of the targets.

- To work closely with divisions and departments across campus to ensure consistency of message and alignment of content within the university and also to the external audience.

- Determine metrics and measurement tools to analyze the impact of communication across all the media channels

- To ensure college corporate presence on social media platforms, overseeing the content creation and planning for all university social media activities, with the aim of providing coordination across different channel.

- Set policies to enhance the efficiency of the communications department and to further develop the building and maintaining of a positive brand for the university

- To work closely with an external PR agency/ media outlet to plan and deliver proactive media relations campaigns, press releases, brochures etc. (especially during admission season).

- Carry out extensive market analysis to understand (but not limited to) industry trends, growth rate, outlook, target market and competitor study to continually identify new opportunities to get key university messages to key audiences

- Ensure industry best practices and outcomes that support the goals, brand, image, and mission of the University across all media channels.

- Prepare an annual budget for the communications department which includes detailed expenditures for manpower, outreach programs, etc.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute

- Preference would be given to candidate having at least 10 years of experience in similar profile with a reputed University / Higher Educational Institution (Top 10 Educational Institutions in the country would be preferred)

- Candidate is expected to demonstrate good knowledge of both print and digital medium i.e. Multi-channel communication strategy

- Candidate is expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must have an intimate knowledge of the higher education landscape in India and internationally

- Preference would be given for candidates from top engineering institutes with global exposure handling large volume of students

- Candidate with excellent knowledge of current social media scenario in order to set up the policies would be given preference
