Responsibilities
Impact and success will be based on the ability to direct and produce high-quality and compelling concepts and stories, and the dexterity to work seamlessly across numerous internal and external stakeholder teams. You will be required to build and maintain close partnerships with content editors, writers, audio production, and other cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product) to define the playbook for the original slate of Fiction Content. You will also be a member of the Innovation team and input to a pipeline of ongoing innovation research, testing, and design that will go towards optimizing the user experience.
A Typical Day Might Include:
- Concepts review and selection: Leverage your understanding of the medium and consumers to shortlist and prioritize concepts from the bank of concepts and writer pitches
- Concept Refinement and development: Refine prioritized concepts by making it more attuned to platform users and develop concept notes and pitch for creative and marketing teams
- Concept pitching: Pitch the concepts in creative ways to marketing and creative team to get their buy-in on the concepts. Co-develop promos with Marketing to test the appeal for consumers
- Pipeline Management: Build the concepts pipeline to be able to supplement aggressive target of hit shows to be launched each month
- Research & Planning: Study the patterns of evolving consumer behavior and platform usage to create a content pipeline that is grounded in data and insights derived from internal tools and partner teams.
- Strategy and coordination with growth team on content marketing to achieve desired growth for the App
- Working closely with the creative team and deriving meaningful insights to improve content performance. Make interventions and revisions to achieve the desired goals.
- Recruiting and managing large teams and defining precise monthly and quarterly goals while helping them to achieve the same.
- Regular interaction with Marketing Managers for content promotion, monthly targets, and revenue growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related fields. Preference for a Master's Degree
- 14-20 years of experience as a leader in fictional content creation/commissioning (television, OTT Entertainment, Radio, Films & other media). Preference for background with Fictional Entertainment for TV.
- Exceptional communicator - ability to inspire and influence, and dexterity in presenting to large/ diverse audiences. Native or bilingual proficiency in speaking and writing in English & Hindi.
- Avid reader: to be able to read a large number of concepts in a short amount of time and make judgement.
- Experience with creating compelling messages for different target demographics.
- Should be passionate about data-driven digital content landscape
- Strategic thinker with creative flair and project management skills crafting world-class creative strategy and spearheading the execution.
- Innately curious and thrives on gleaning insights from data, and able to identify creative opportunities in content and translate these into sharp creative strategies.
- Proactive, fast, and flexible problem-solver with superb time, resource, and stakeholder management.
- Own and manage processes and reporting with cross-functional partners for tracking and monitoring performance on content creation
- Passion and curiosity towards building great product experiences for everyone
- Self-motivated leader and strong collaborator/ team player - with the ability to maintain calm, make good decisions, and work with constant ambiguity.
