Director - Commerce & Industry

Our client is one of the oldest and most reputed Chambers of Commerce in India. With a mission to facilitate industrial growth while balancing socio-economic environment, it operates 16 committees under its purview to cater to various industries and all types of businesses in Maharashtra.

Headquartered in Pune, our client is a close knit team of ~60 people. They are seeking candidates to join their leadership team. As a Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day workings of certain committees, maintaining industry-government relationships & increasing the chamber's network of companies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Take ownership of chosen committees and increase engagement with all the stakeholders of these committees.

- Serve as a liaison between the various Government agencies at central, state, local levels & industry.

- Identify & plan conferences, trainings and other opportunities to benefit members in terms of business.

- Effectively communicate with industry members to build new relationships & strengthen existing ties.

- Raise sponsorship for Chamber activities.

Requirements

- MBA degree from an institute of repute

- Work experience of minimum 5 years

- Preferred age less than 40 years

- Ability and patience to work with multiple stakeholders & government agencies

- Excellent communication skills

- Relevant experience in government liaising & industry relations is a plus, though not mandatory
