Director - Centre of Management Education - PhD/IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS (18-25 yrs)

1.1 Credentials

The successful applicant must be having a PhD and MBA from reputed/ Tier 1 Business School/ University.

1.2 Teaching and Research Experience

The candidate must exhibit successful teaching experience in an AACSB or AICTE accredited MBA Program. Experience in the participant-cantered or case method environment is desirable. Additionally, the successful applicant will have demonstrated capability to engage in research and publication of relevance to practitioners in the business world.

1.3 Managerial and Business Experience

Significant business experience in senior management or consulting positions. P&L responsibility is highly desirable, as is experience in a highly dynamic and competitive environment. Experience in Business School administration may be considered as a substitute for business experience. However, a demonstrated awareness of and engagement with current business practices and challenges are essential.

1.4 Communications Effectiveness, Interpersonal Skills

The candidate must be a highly effective communicator, both in writing and speaking. The Director must be able to inspire students, faculty, and business partners. Someone who focuses on actions and outcomes, and who has energy and drive.

2 Duties and Responsibilities :


- Be responsible for overall strategic and perspective planning of the Centre under guidance of DG and Board of Studies.

- Responsible for setting budgetary targets and achievements thereof.

- Responsible for all marketing, public relations, promotion related activities of the Centre for Management Education.

- Responsible for networking with other National and International academic organizations to further the cause of the Centre.


- Look after all administrative aspects pertaining to office, procedures and relevant matters including documentation of all activities.

- Oversee all confidential matters pertaining to records of admission, examinations and nodal centre to ensure highest standards are upheld. Signatory to related formal document as empowered under delegation of powers/prior approval of Director General, AIMA.

- Responsible for all financial matters as approved in the Budget including utmost economy in expenditure.


- Be the academic head of Centre for Management Education and look overall matters pertaining to approval of courses, curriculum development, academic development, course design, design and development of study material. For these, duly assisted by faculty members and programme managers.

- Look after the student satisfaction aspects in terms of delivery of programs, conduct of examinations and exercise quality control over performance of Study Centres.

- Lay down policies, guidelines governing various academic activities.

- Any other responsibilities assigned by Chairman Board of Studies and Director General.
