Director - Category - eCommerce - IIT/IIM/ISB/XLRI/MDI

We are hiring for Director level in leading eCommerce company.

- Looking for people from FMCG, Retail, Consulting and eCommerce background who have experience in sales, marketing, business development, P&L management and so on.

We want people only from tier 1 B-schools like IIM, IIT, ISB, NMIMS, JLBIMS, KJ Somiyah, MDI, FMS SIBM, XLRI, XIM and so on.

Only full time MBA will be considered.

Role:

- Develop the business model: Go deep, understand where opportunities are and create a viable business model to service the opportunities

- Know the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.

- Know the customer: Understand connected customer behavior, develop new customer insights

- Lead a vendor-relations team to identify strategic partners, negotiate better terms of trade and deals for our customers

- Create a comprehensive Vendor management strategy and governance framework

- Put in processes & metrics to scale the business

- Use technology to scale operations and expand selection

- Own pricing strategy based on market potential, consumer insights, margins, competitive signals, etc. Drive necessary promotions

- Create a sustainable business model in the category for ongoing business

Desired background:

- Educational background - should be from premier institutes

- 8-16 years of work experience, 3-4 years in P&L roles or 3-5 years in a premier consulting company

- Knowledge of Retail, consumer goods industry
