Director - India Business Operations At a Leading MNC

- Develop and execute the operational strategy for the company's activities in India, aligned with global objectives, to drive business growth and profitability.

- In coordination with People Team, oversee India People Operations, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and career development.

- In coordination with Finance, oversee budgeting and financial planning activities, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost optimization.

- Manage local facilities requirements in coordination with HQ.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, People, Legal, IT, to ensure seamless coordination and integration of business operations, in coordination with respective HQ functions and in accordance with global policies and procedures.

- Partner with HQ to lead and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, including corporate governance, risk management, and data privacy requirements.

- Negotiate contracts, manage agreements and interactions with local vendors.

- Monitor and analyze labor market trends and regulatory changes in India to identify opportunities and risks, and provide recommendations to senior management.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, government authorities, and business partners to enhance the company's presence and reputation in India.

Qualifications and Skills :

- Proven experience (7+ years) providing country leadership or leading one of the following functions for India in an International Company: HR, Finance, Legal, Business Administration.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.

- In-depth knowledge of the Indian market, business practices, and regulatory environment.

- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
