Director - Business Finance - FMCG/FMCD/Telecom

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Director of Financial Planning and Business Finance in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning and analysis, as well as providing strategic guidance and support to the business. This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive business performance through effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

- Develop and implement financial planning strategies to support business objectives.

- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.

- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into key performance drivers.

Strategic Financial Management:

- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial plans and strategic initiatives.

- Provide financial guidance and decision support for key business initiatives, including investments, partnerships, and acquisitions.

- Evaluate the financial implications of business strategies and recommend actions to optimize performance.

Business Performance Monitoring:

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business performance.

- Monitor financial performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.

- Prepare regular management reports and presentations for executive review.

Financial Modeling and Forecasting:

- Develop complex financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.

- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of different business scenarios.

- Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support business planning and investment decisions.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts and professionals.

- Provide leadership and guidance to foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture.

- Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, and business finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.

- Proven track record of strategic financial management and business partnership.

- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.

- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on team development and collaboration.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

- Previous experience in the Middle East region or multinational corporations is a plus.
