- This role focuses on formulating the long-term product, technology, and sustainability roadmap for the client, while also working closely with stakeholders to identify and solve key problem areas.
- The candidate will lead the overall profit and loss (P/L) efforts, develop business models and expansion strategies, and drive growth plans for core product offerings.
- Additionally, they will develop and execute strategies for business growth through partnerships and collaborations, identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and manage budgets for partnership initiatives.
- The candidate will also be responsible for preparing relevant documentation, negotiating contracts, coordinating strategic partner engagements, and establishing goals for partner relationships.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Formulate the long-term product, technology, and sustainability roadmap, based on ICT4D market and sectoral insights.
- Interact closely with clients, internal teams, partners, and communities to identify and solve key problem areas aligned with the organization's impact-first objectives.
- Take on the role of P/L lead, working with the core team to develop commercial/business models, pricing strategies, sustainability models, and expansion strategies.
- Develop and execute strategies for business growth and impact through partnerships and collaborations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in national and international markets through market research and analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with philanthropic and innovation funders, clients, partners, and impact investors.
- Develop, own, and manage budgets for partnership initiatives.
- Prepare relevant documentation for requests for proposals (RFPs) and client pitches in collaboration with grant and program teams.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic initiatives, coordinating partner engagements and liaising with program implementation teams.
- Establish goals for each partner relationship, maintain proper reporting metrics, and conduct regular reviews of established goals.
Experience & Qualifications :
- 15+ years of work experience in ICT or related sectors, with at least 3-5 years in leadership roles.
- Preferably, experience in technology (ICT4D) for development, social impact/social enterprise, or related sectors.
- Master's degree in business administration, marketing, or related fields.
- Interest and familiarity with themes in the development sector such as ICT4D, Gender, Health, Workforce, Media & Governance, Agriculture, Livelihood, Climate, and public policy.
- Proven track record of building partnerships and leading programs, strong business acumen, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in targeted marketplaces focusing on rural markets, such as Micro Finance, Fintech, Rural Healthcare, Agriculture, Payments, Telecom, Media, etc.
- Demonstrated success in achieving targets and driving revenue and business key performance indicators (KPIs) in a high-growth environment.
- Ability to assess business risks through financial, statistical, and economic data analysis.
- Passionate about technology and its impact on communities.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including internationally.
- Ability to make decisions under ambiguity with an experimental and learning mindset.
