Director - BD - Market Research

Overall responsibility

- The overall responsibility would be to identify, engage and develop clients and business in new and varied sectors. This will need to be done in the best ways that engages with clients on their business issues, leveraging the spread of all available tools and solutions and ensuring that a meaningful impact is created.

Key responsibilities

This profile will be responsible for:

- Delivering an Annual sales revenue number from primarily new clients and also from lost clients with a 75% weightage. Direct client leadership for an account / a set of accounts to be mutually decided would have a 25% weightage

- Marketing company as a brand, media and communications expert that delivers consultancy based on the voice of the consumer.

- Identifying and engaging with new clients, identify business needs where company can offer solutions and hence pitching the right solutions to answer these business questions.

- Working with project deployment teams to ensure all client expectations are transferred and translated into research instruments and designs for collecting business ready data leading to clear insights and actions therefrom.

- Widening the client base for Bangalore

- Pricing and profitability of services for these pitches will also be a KRA

Personal skills

The following skills are essential:

- Proven knowledge of market research with a minimum of 8 years in mainline research companies

- A high energy, resilient, “never-say-die” attitude.

- Preferred proven knowledge of products and philosophy

- Proven skills in solutions marketing and selling leading to development of business

- Proven skills of an in-depth understanding of all business dimensions and hence an appreciation of the client reality business environment to connect for the right solutions

- Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships

- Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills

- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
