Job Summary:
The Head of Compensation and Benefits plays a critical role in the development, implementation, and management of the compensation and benefits strategy for the organization setting up their GCC in India . This role involves designing competitive compensation packages, administering employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and analyzing market trends to attract and retain top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive compensation strategy aligned with the organization's goals and competitive market conditions.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research to assess the competitiveness of compensation and benefits packages and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Job Evaluation: Establish and maintain a job evaluation system to determine appropriate salary structures, classifications, and pay ranges.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs, including health and wellness, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to compensation, benefits, and labor practices, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- Payroll Coordination: Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of compensation-related transactions.
- Performance Management: Integrate compensation and performance management systems to align rewards with individual and team performance.
- Communication: Develop and execute communication strategies to educate employees about compensation and benefits programs, including orientation, open enrollment, and ongoing updates.
- Budgeting: Manage the compensation and benefits budget, making recommendations for cost-effective solutions while maintaining competitiveness.
- Data Analysis: Analyze compensation and benefits data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement, cost control, and decision-making.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants, including benefit providers and compensation survey firms.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CCP) is preferred.
- A minimum of 10-12 years of progressively responsible experience in compensation and benefits management, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Exposure in consulting is a must with focus on tech organizations
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles, benefits administration, and HR regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize changing priorities.
- A commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
