Job Description:

Role: Associate Director/Director - Research & Development Division

Reports to: Senior Director

Position: Predictive Analytics, Statistical Modeling, Data Mining & Decision Sciences

Work Location: Bangalore

Experience: 8-14 years

Statement of purpose

Deliver Predictive Analytics, Data Mining, Text Mining, Machine Learning driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Manage development and delivery of Predictive Analytics driven Products and Solutions.

- Think creatively, conceptualizing and leading projects resulting in substantial long-term impact on the company vision, revenues, top line, etc.

- Develop and implement various math-based solutions (using machine learning, optimization, simulation), create - proof of concepts- and operationalize them to help business planning and operation divisions to make decisions

- Actively collaborate with product management, planning, operations and business analytics teams and other stake-holders

Required competency:

- Education: B.Tech./M.S/Ph.D in Comp Science/Engineering/Operations Research and related disciplines

- Programming skills: Java/Python/Hive/Hadoop/HBase/Unix/Map Reduce/ Perl/Matlab/XML

- Technical skills: R / SAS /SPSS /SQL/ Mahout /Spark/Kitsch/ Weka

- Core Analytical skill-set/Background and Experience in: Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Data Mining, Text Mining, Weblog mining, Information Retrieval/Extraction, Signal Processing/ Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Mathematical and Statistical Modeling, Mathematical Optimization/ Operations Research, Simulation, Neural Networks, Artificial Intelligence

- Looking for significant research expertise/accomplishment, theoretical depth and business experience in the above areas. Prefer candidates with patents.

- Should have experience in developing and implementing analytical solutions for business end use. Prefer candidates with prior experience in eCommerce or Supply Chain.

- Hands on experience in model building

- Prior experience in working with business leaders and acting as their thought partner

- Proven problem-solving skills

- Excellent computation and data management skills.

- Experience handling big data
