Director - Architecture - JAVA/J2EE - Captive IT Setup

One of our client a leading Captive IT setup in Bangalore is looking for Director Architect.

Years of Experience: 15+ years

Work Location : Bangalore

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Work closely with product architects to define and implement architecture road maps

- Leading Engineering team in in web application design, technologies and best practices

- Responsible for Reviewing business cases collaborate with product owners and architects on solutions

- Should involve in emerging new technologies, tools and ideas through the execution of POC initiatives

- Facilitate an architecture community with product architects and technical leads

- Work with technical and business partners to identify opportunities for innovative solutions

- Collaborate with business partners to provide an industry leading customer experience on the web

Desired Skills

- Hands on experience with web application technologies such as, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML(5), CSS(3), Angular, and Node.js, Java and Spring etc.

- Hands on experience with standard application development and testing tools such as Eclipse, Jenkins, Sonar, JIRA, and Selenium etc.

- Solid understanding of DevOps, application lifecycle management and agile development methodologies.

- Should have experience in Implementing Web application solutions

- Investment / Financial services experience is highly preferred

- Enterprise architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF) is a plus

- Understanding of object oriented, functional and procedural programming languages

- Firm understanding of major scripting languages such as Shell, PHP, Ruby and Python.

- Basic understanding of cloud computing architecture and infrastructure (e.g. IaaS, PaaS)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language to technical and business audiences
