Director Analytics
The role is with the captive unit of a Global Industry leader in Bangalore,
Key Result Areas
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand the client's business situation and develop data driven insights that can be understood and implemented to drive marketing strategies
- Align to the overall business strategy when driving the direction of the team, projects, and processes
- Manage the allotment of multiple resources and projects concurrently to ensure successful completion of analytic projects
- Account for the overall management of analytic projects; including profitability, timeliness, quality and client value
- Formulate insights, championing and driving insights into action
- Oversee presentation creation that provides actionable insights and recommendations
- Explore and capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell existing clients
Person Profile:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline
- A minimum of 10 years professional hands-on experience with statistical modeling, data mining, and advanced segmentation using large marketing databases
- A minimum of 5 years proven managerial or supervisory experience
- Proven experience managing and delivering a wide variety of analytic solutions to internal and external stakeholders
Extensive experience in :
- Digital Marketing Analytics- Web Analytics, Mobile Analytics, Multi- Channel Analytics, Customer Experience Management and Site Optimization
- Customer Loyalty Solutions
- Customer Lifecycle Analytics
Someone who has worked on solutions for - Loyalty, retention, price & Promotion, targeted communication/ campaign management,
Ideally someone with :
Advanced degree (Masters/PhD) in Statistics, Economics or other quantitative discipline
- [Industry-specific] marketing experience/knowledge
- Demonstrate superior leadership to the broader business and internal team
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
- Hands-on programming experience in SAS, SPSS, or related language
- Knowledge of data visualization tools
Travel : 10%-20%
- Ability to program in newer and emerging languages such as R and Python; working knowledge of Hadoop and other big data technologies
