Director - Analytics - BFSI/Consulting/KPO

World class Analytics team applies rigorous, solution-oriented analysis and modeling techniques to help businesses attract and retain customers, understand market trends, track and diagnose market share changes and improve advertising and marketing effectiveness.

This role will partner with the GNP team across a set of key focus areas

- Develop analytical framework and methodology to measure effectiveness of different marketing initiatives (e.g. Offers, Small Merchant Recommendation etc) and optimize marketing efforts through strategic recommendation

- Develop next generation insights product solutions for merchants, at times in partnership with external partners. Examples of such products include, industry spend sense, custom scoring)

- Play pivotal role to develop new insights solutions and transform merchant capabilities, like SMART -GMS's core insights delivery platform into a next generation BI platform.

Depending on business priorities, the projects will vary in size and complexity. The Director will lead a 10+ member team of business analysts/statisticians.

Job Responsibilities :

- Align goals, objectives, communication planning & needs with global GNP partners

- Provide analytical thought leadership across the key functional priorities to develop advanced analytical products & execute custom engagements

- Partner closely with data scientists on the Big Data Lab team and the Data Capabilities & Partnership team to pursue complex initiatives that advance our closed-loop data assets

- Leveraging a structured thinking approach to solve client business problems

- Ensure engagements are providing value to customers with a focus on recommended actions, key findings and high quality analysis.

- Effectively communicate, gain support and execute on strategic initiatives that require involvement from many stakeholders

- Invest in establishing and growing relationships with multiple teams to develop trusted partnerships. Understand the culture and process for being an effective leader.

- Build a strong and effective team to support engagement delivery globally. Identify and attract strong talent to the team, drive engagement and maintain high morale.

Qualification :

- Strong analytical skills including the ability to think through all aspects of complex business requirements and generate possible courses of action

- Proficiency & experience in econometric, statistical and machine learning techniques to develop best in class predictive models & clustering methodology

- Must possess excellent analytical, relationship management and strong personal presence

- Demonstrated passion for customers and clients, and for creating a consistently superior customer experience

- Proven results driver with 9+ years of experience.

- Ability to partner with a team of highly skilled econometricians, business and data analysts in developing information-driven solutions for our customers.

- Proven ability to lead and inspire a global team to delivery extraordinary results.

- Proficient in SAS programming/SQL, working knowledge of Hadoop architecture & analytical tools (PIG/Hive, Random forest, K nearest neighbor etc)

- Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to pro-actively and independently drive results

- Experience working in highly cross-functional environment, flexibility and adaptability to work with tight deadlines and changing priorities

- Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, MBA or related quantitative fields from a top tier institute.
