Direct Private Investment Specialist - BFSI

GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

The position is proposed to be a permanent role. The candidate will be part of India Markets and IWMS team reporting to the Head of Equity (Public+ Private) Investment & Strategy.

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION :

Core Functional :

- Source deals for private banking clients looking for direct investment opportunities (DPI) in private equity and other unlisted assets.

- Ensure that the necessary guidelines on DPI ( end to end) are complied with at all points of time

- Additionally the candidate will be required to understand the needs of private banking clients who might have Investment banking requirements (selling business, M&A, fund raise/corporate finance etc) and liaise with various partner Investment banking firms for closure of the deals.

- To get more I-Banking tie-ups based on the locally determined framework.

Client Management (internal & external) :

- Develop and maintain a long-term relationship with Financial Advisors on regular basis ( for in-bound DPI deal sourcing)

- Also must have good connects/relationships with various PE firms/ key clients for deal sourcing (out-bound DPI deals)

- To provide regular updates to the Financial Advisors and the clients regarding the DPI deals consummated

Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management :

- Ensure proper reporting of COE ( conflict of interest)

- To ensure all internal and external rules are guidelines are complied with and any exceptions are highlighted to the L&C team.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION :

Personal and Social :

- 8-10 years of experience in dealing in some PE fund/ I-Banking

- Should have strong relationship management skills while maintaining high standards of personal performance and professionalism with ability to relate to people at any level of business

- Should have good communication & presentation skills and possess strong networking & relationship building skills.

Professional and Technical :

- Should possess sound knowledge about the prevalent economic / financial reforms in financial market

- Should possess basic technical knowledge on private market valuations, DCF analysis, business analysis, SWOT analysis, mapping competitive landscape etc. ie, should have skill sets to do basic business due diligence.

- Rank: Based on total experience - Director (preferably) / Executive Director
