Digital Head - Product & Technology

JOB OBJECTIVE

To lead and build expertise in product and technology platforms across various industry sectors and domain areas

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic (Direct ownership)

- Develop the department strategy for long term and short term with product development targets in consultation with the CEO- Digital

- Drive development of innovative products across technology platforms and develop presence across various industry sectors and regions

- Understand the market trends and ensure alignment of products and introduction of new products to remain abreast with the competition

Financial (Direct ownership)

- Prepare business cases and ensure overall budget is sanctioned for a new project/ infrastructure/ team interventions

- Ensure adherence to project budgets, timelines and quality in execution

Operational (Direct ownership)

- Brainstorm with team regarding design, UI/ UX, and product management for critical, high valued projects

- Responsible for understanding the current product in-depth and resolve gaps in the current product

- Monitor performance of the ongoing projects on a regular basis and take decisions in the interest of the organization's objectives

- Participate in the product development meetings with Innovation team by providing technical expertise in product development domain

- Encourage participation of project teams in innovation projects to ensure early adoption of new technology and trends relevant to the customer's industry

- Identify gaps/bugs in the current offering and work with the tech team to address them on immediate basis

- Review dashboards and routine reports to ensure that the projects are aligned to the formulated strategy. Ensure rectification in case of non-adherence

- Ensure quality in product development leading to reduction in UAT timelines, thereby increasing speed to market

- Ensure provision of complete maintenance support to customers adhering to SLAs, thereby leading to minimum escalations

- Program manage the tech development

- Develop customer and tech support modules/processes

- Build ML/AI into the product such as for surveying, optimal routing etc

Customer (Direct ownership)

- Ensure identification of current and latent customer needs and cater to them via differentiated product portfolio with supporting technology landscape across sectors

- Ensure minimum lead time for product development and increased speed to market for various target customer segment groups

- Ensure minimum customer escalations and positive user experiences post product launch

- Ensure continuous tracking of competitor strategies to understand market trends. Make needed alterations in action plans to enable us to foray in the market

- Interact with Clients, Shippers, Partners, and Internal teams to understand their key pain points and augment the product roadmap basis the stakeholders inputs by identifying and writing Use cases

People (Direct ownership)

- Ensure capability development of team in either product or technology across various industry sectors

- Ensure timely performance appraisal for team

QUALIFICATION

Graduation: BE, B.Tech

Post Graduation: Masters in Business Administration

EXPERIENCE

12 to 15 years experience in product management/design
