In short about the role : The Director of Product Management and Digital Harbor is a combination of strategic and tactical role. The individual should be a strategy and process expert who leads the team of product managers and business analysts while at the same time be extremely hands-on to lead tactical product management responsibilities for assigned product. This extremely visible and responsible role requires an energetic and enthusiastic leader who has been high performer and the ability of getting things done. What you get to do here : Product Strategy/Innovation : - Understand the goals of company's products, study current and evolving market landscape and translate them into a scalable product vision - Build domain and functional competencies to continue to position company's offerings as "product leaders" - Develop strong roadmap of the products in alignment with company's vision, market trends and customer demands - Inculcates and manages a culture of continuous innovation within the team through NPD, product improvements with the objective of solving customer problems Product Planning and Development : - Conduct detailed research towards requirements definition coupled with use scenarios that puts the problem in context. Use creative techniques to document in sufficient level of detail - Support and lead the common tools and processes that the Product Management group will adopt - Oversee multiple product releases in parallel and ensure rigour in release criteria definition and enforcement - Continuously improve the product development process, incorporating lessons learned and best practices - Review ongoing deployments and requests from existing customers and provide necessary leadership to business analysts in segregating custom requests from product level enhancements/features - Monitor key dates and checkpoints in product delivery and lead release announcements, demos and training People/Stakeholder Management : - Lead team of product management professionals, to ensure successful releases and product launches - Lead team of business analysts, and guide them towards successful realization of product value as part of customer deployments - Responsible for evaluating and managing third-party integration partners while working with other stakeholders within the organization - Evangelize a product management culture within the organization, including best practices and policies, adherence to Agile principles Our expectations from you : - Minimum 10 years of experience in IT/software industry with at least 5 years in capacity of product manager for enterprise software - Bachelors in any domain. Masters not necessary. - Has experience handling products with varying level of maturity esp. launching of new products from scratch - Well-versed in the entire lifecycle of enterprise software product management including market research and customer analysis, persona generation, requirement documents and feasibility assessments, prototyping to wireframes and through execution While experience related requirement matters, we strongly believe that it's the behavioural related requirements which make the difference.
