POSITION SUMMARY :

- Plan, organize, direct and control the Global Software and Services Quality Assurance activities in support of newly designed and/or enhanced (redesigned) features.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS :

- Direct personnel of the Software and Services Quality Assurance department which includes test team leads, quality analysts, and quality engineers located globally across, North America, Brazil and India. 

- Must coordinate and lead the test engineering and test automation efforts across all of the global test teams. 

- Interface with other departments & managers: Managed Services, Core Software Development, Engineering, Product Management, Technical Publication and support organizations. 

- Interface with associates and management from various Diebold organizations and outside organizations that provide hardware, software and related products and services.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY :

- Plan, organize, direct and control the Global Software and Services Quality Assurance activities in support of newly designed and/or enhanced (redesigned) features. 

- Ensure as a result of our testing processes, that quality software and services solutions are available on time to our customers in different geographies. 

- Champion and lead the services to test automation efforts globally and drive efficiencies into test processes and test results. 

- Lead the change in test driven development efforts globally. 

- Drive excellence in software and services quality across all development organizations globally. 

- Will create the budgets for the projects and manage the resources, material within those budgets. Responsibility includes the planning and execution of appropriate inspections and tests to aid software development efforts and to provide assurances that software products meet specified/appropriate quality levels in different geographies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

- Create a strategy for test automation and drive ROI analysis on the automation strategy. 

- Lead the global SQA organizations to implement and execute stringent quality criteria to provide high-reliability solutions to global customers. 

- Recruit, develop and retain strong individuals including outsourcing partners through training, coaching and working with department managers to help them build and manage high performing teams. 

- Build and maintain a high performing team that loves their jobs and has fun at work. 

- Work with other leaders of Software Development to refine and improve our practices for software development, team roles, and success measures. 

- Create a work environment that fosters employee satisfaction and productivity. 

- Ensure that department quality system processes are defined, maintained and executed. 

- Analyze, document and maintain the department budget and be responsible for operating within said budget.

- Ensure timely, accurate and informative reporting to management of results achieved, problems encountered and recommended actions. 

- Review and plan resources required for global software products and systems that are submitted to SQA for testing. 

- Ensure that as a result of our testing process, software defect information is accurate, reported in a timely manner and that the defect data is efficiently maintained and acted upon.

- Ensure that appropriate project test documentation is created and maintained. 

- Provide leadership in planning and implementing the integration of various software and services solutions and products that are developed from within Diebold and outside vendors. 

- Provide leadership in planning and implementing the integration of various software products with the appropriate hardware products.

- Strong understanding of issues related to large-scale distributed computing and the ability to take a broad view of the system as a whole

- Strong problem-solving skills, mastery of data structures and algorithms, and the ability to think outside the box

JOB & REQUIREMENT :

- Fulltime Bachelor and/or Master degree in engineering with a minimum of 60% grade

- The ability to work independently and in small teams, partner effectively cross-group, and manage multiple priorities and deliverables concurrently

- Demonstrated ability and experience in the entire product development cycle: from design, implementation, and testing, to shipping and maintenance.

- Metrics driven approach.

- Drive rigorous process and quality improvement programs across software development centers.

- Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with peers, management and staff, and internal/external business partners/customers.
