Business Intelligence- Product Senior Manager Diageo has created an end to end Data and Analytics Centre of Excellence to support our growth agenda while delivering our productivity ambition. Our mission is to accelerate business performance by providing advanced business insight via new and evolving analytics tools, technology, and capabilities. As part of the CoE, the Technology &amp; Development team focuses on: - Delivering and sustaining analytics platforms and solutions that provide actionable insights - Empowering stakeholders to analyze and understand information - Providing deep expertise in technologies, data, and processes needed to uncover and deliver insights. We deliver analytics solutions through an Agile, Product led approach. We are organized accordingly into teams around the Products that we deliver to the organization. The Product Manager is ultimately accountable for all aspects of Product delivery, including requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, sustaining, and optimizing solutions. This is a key leadership role leading a broad global team of analysts, developers, contractors, and specialists in the delivery of Products. There are seven product teams in the Analytics Technology &amp; Development team, organized by business and technology functions. Each team is globally diverse, with team members and stakeholders around the world in the different regions and time zones. This role is expected to liaise and work with Diageo's IT partners and technology vendors to build the correct competencies. The role will require on-site presence and may also require global travel. The purpose of the role is to lead a development and operations team focused on the delivery of analytics Products to our markets, functions, and Centre's of Excellence. This individual is accountable for all aspects of the Product development and lifecycle. The candidate should: - Be experienced in the implementation of global information &amp; analytics projects - Have functional domain knowledge relevant to their Product area. - Have strong systems design and reporting/analytics experience. - Be fluent in English and multi-culturally aware - Demonstrate outstanding collaboration ability in a global setting - Be quick to grasp complex business and technology problems, driving them to resolution. Typical analytics projects range from - 50K - 2M. Products will be used by several thousand users around the globe. Due to the nature of a global role, flexible working hours is key to coordinating activities within different time zones, while global travel may also be required (up to 25%). 1. Execution of projects and programs to deliver analytics products (applications, platforms, and solutions) to markets - Drive scope, resourcing, and prioritization of activities in Agile project execution. Accountability for sprint structuring and planning and managing the team to ensure delivery. - Act as a communication channel between technical and business facing teams. Drives escalation when necessary, accountable for project level technical decisions. - Evaluate technical costs for implementation of solutions. This includes assisting in the creation of business cases for all capital spending relating to the analytics architecture - Can build effective WOW within the CoE, and with BRMs, Application &amp; Technology Services, and our partners to deliver integrated solutions that maximize value. - Demonstrate deep personal accountability for great performance 2. Lead, develop, and mentor a global development and operations team - Lead a team of employees and contractors in the execution of projects. Team members have multiple levels of seniority and experience and are dispersed across the globe. - Provide vision, coaching, and performance management to build, develop and grow the team. - Each product team will manage programs in excess of - 2MM annually, and oversee a business as usual budget at least half as large. Teams will have up to 8 employees and 25 contractors. 3. Maintain and optimize analytics products - Provide ongoing support and optimization of analytics products using a DevOps model - Drive automation into the BAU and Build processes, especially focused on automated testing and monitoring. - Drive annual efficiency gains of 10% annually - Ensure SLAs are met for uptime, timeliness, performance, and support. 4. Provide technical thought leadership for their domain - Partner with other Product Manager, Business Relationship Managers, and Solution Architects to define a multi-year roadmap for the evolution of analytics capabilities in a specific functional domain. - Understand and optimize the financial impact of analytics solutions on markets that leverage these services - Actively seeks best practice from external sources in both the application of process and technology and uses to benchmark or provide stretch to our own processes and design. - Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, or similar - 12+ years of experience with multinational companies (preferably CPG) or IT consultancy companies in relevant analytics solution delivery demonstrating a progression of leadership roles. - Demonstrable execution experience with the relevant technologies including MicroStrategy, SQL Server, PowerBI, Azure Data Factory, HDInsights, or similar. - Demonstrated expertise in delivering analytics solutions in a global enterprise environment - Demonstrated expertise in delivering solutions involving different categories of data (structured, semi-structured, unstructured) and different models of information (entity, event, etc.) - Demonstrated experience in championing, designing, and implementing innovative solutions to problems. - Demonstrated leadership of technical design during all phases of development and deployment - 6+ years of experience leading and developing teams, preferably in a global operating model - Fluent English, Great at working as part of a cohesive, integrated team - Experience in the relevant functional domain preferred (i.e. Supply, Finance, etc.) - Outstanding collaboration skills at all levels of the organization - Attention to detail is key, inquisitive &amp; questioning nature - Strong problem-solving planning/ organizing, highly detail conscious - Quick learner who exhibits resiliency and tenacity in the face of challenge - Have a huge passion for growing and developing
