Setting and Achieving Business Goals :
- Responsible for setting, achieving & exceeding business goals and primary and secondary targets of the assigned territory
- Conduct regular sales planning and forecasting
- Sharing regular market feedback and giving business inputs to the brand team
- Monitor the sales trend, competitor activities and provide necessary support to the team for successful achievement of the Business plan.
Management and Building of the Sales Team
- Hiring, building, managing and supporting the effective deployment of the sales in order to achieve primary and second targets.
- Recruiting and retaining high performing sales staff
- Ensure implementation of promotional plans & contests and suggesting new and innovating promotion plan for the area of work.
- Giving strategic guidance to the sales staff to establish sales targets and help them in breaking the same geographically into monthly, weekly & daily targets.
Managing Stakeholders :
- Manage the distribution network through Distributor relations and servicing the Distributors, and their concerns in an appropriate manner.
- Establishing and maintaining a close relationship with all retailers to ensure strong placement and in-store promotion
Sales & Trade Marketing Activities :
- Planning & Execution of trade marketing activities, merchandising and visibility in the territory.
- Driving In-Store excellence through better visibility and sustenance of share of shelf across categories.
- Identifying and participating in all relevant marketing activations, fairs, festivals, and other events.
- Work closely with the marketing team in respect of Packaging, promotions, pricing etc.
- Analyze and report competitors- strategies on pricing, placements, promotional schemes, product features, etc.
Eligibility/ Pre-Requisites :
- Graduate, preferably with a post-graduate degree or diploma in Business Management with specialization in Sales and Marketing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong metrics-driven focus
- Ambitious and willing to work extra hard to build a brand from ground up
- Self-starter with a lot of initiative and creativity and perseverance
- Ability to solve problems and get things done
- Total experience preferably of about 8-10 years in FMCG industry, out of which at least 2-3 years should be preferably at a sales manager level.
