Position- Urgent.

To lead the budgeting, expansion, new build, planning, engineering and optimization of mesh ASON Optical DWDM network of 2 layers of 10G, one 40G layer and one 100G layer across national, Intra Circle & Metro

Key Result Areas

- Network Planning for ECB,IPMPLS, CEN 2G and 3G, VBS , VCNO

- Detailed working on BOQ’s and co-ordination with circle teams.

- Preparing design /solution documents, as-built documents, guidelines, processes & workflows, engineering details etc.

- Submarine cable backhaul planning in NLD and Metro network

- Expectation of optimized and cost efficient Network and solutions.

- Providing optimized & cost effective solutions to feasibility request.

PLANNING & ENGINEERING OF DWDM NETWORK

- Planning of new routes & expansion of DWDM network, link planning, engineering, equipment designing & BOQ finalization of National PAN India DWDM networks (2 layers of 10G, one 40G layer and one 100G layer) deployed across 45000kms of fiber routes with 250+ ASON nodes, Metro DWDM mesh ASON network in 10 major Vodafone cities with 150+ASON nodes equipped with 200+ ROADM sites, Intra Circle DWDM networks in 9 major Vodafone Circles deployed across 40000+ kms fiber routes with 40 channel 10G systems & Access DWDM networks in various Vodafone cities to fulfill the enterprise customers such as Google,Verizon,C&W etc..

- Support to corporate finance and circle network teams for preparing DB capex by means of releasing technology guidelines and verification of capex build up in DB in tune with global guidelines. Finalization of yearly capex (DB) of approximately 1000Mn for Circle Network & 2000 for service team requirement.

- Extending day to day support to Enterprise and Carrier business unit for optimized & cost effective technical solutions, bandwidth feasibility, circuit delivery and assurance for closure of approximately 100+ feasibility request of bandwidth required in multiples of 1Gbps.

- Planning & expansion of International Carrier giant Cable & Wireless network spread across 6 cities in India to make feasible international customers bandwidth requirement on Ciena’s Core director network.

- Preparation & release of node-wise planning & engineering documents and solution documents.

- Maintaining the used and freed hardware records and re planning of freed hardware.

CAPACITY FOR GROWTH

- Planning of Transmission network with high capacity SDH and Metro DWDM equipment.

- Create capacity in a core layer to cater the traffic growth of ECB, 2G and 3G.

Operational (Responsibilities pertaining to day to day operations management)

SUPPORT TO PROJECT/ECB/IP MPLS/CEN TEAM (20%)

- Planning & Optimization of traffic migration from SDH layer to LH DWDM layer to meet the future traffic growth.

- Support to EWB team for feasibility/solution validation of circuits to customers.

- Support to circle/CEN/ECB/NOC team for new connectivity/Up gradation/optimization of 2G/3G/NLD/ECB.

- Support to Corp-Project and Circle team during project implementation.

- Preparing the standard format/solution document for the new equipment/Connectivity.

TRANSMISSION STRATEGY & GUIDELINES

- Define Transmission strategy for a common transmission network for 2G/3G/NLD Voice/ECB using Optical network (SDH/DWDM/carrier Ethernet/IP-MPLS).

- Design submarine cable system backhaul viz SMW4, GBI, BBG and support VCNO for international customers.
