Deputy General Manager - (SCM & Purchase)- Mumbai.
Candidates from Elevator/ Escalator industry only.Supply Chain Strategy and Management:- Develop and implement supply chain strategy and objectives to ensure quality and timely service to customers and stakeholders.
- Manage procurement and logistics operations activities, including strategic planning and people development.
- Lead, organize, and manage the supply chain operations team in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide oversight of performance KPIs and lead change management initiatives across supply chain operations
Procurement Management:- Manage purchasing strategy, both domestically and internationally, to ensure optimal supplier performance and pricing.
- Develop strategies to add value, mitigate supply chain risk, and deliver cost savings.
- Update procurement strategies based on market conditions and demand forecasts.
- Monitor departmental expenses and manage procurement and inventory within optimum costs.
- Develop guidelines for processing purchase orders, vendor evaluation, and improvement activities.
Logistics Management:- Build a strategic delivery model to cover current and projected markets effectively.
- Manage logistics categories for outbound and inbound transportation modes.
- Drive initiatives for cost reduction and operational efficiencies in logistics.
- Handle distribution planning and operations across manufacturing locations and depots.
- Manage budgeting, execution, and spend control of freight and warehousing.
- Establish third-party partnerships to augment internal logistics capacity.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products to plants and customers.
- Analyze and solve complex logistical problems to ensure sustainable solutions.
Planning Role:- Coordinate between plants and sales to prioritize and execute production plans.
- Monitor production versus actuals on a daily basis and conduct contingency planning for supply issues.
- Plan for seasonality and stock build-up, depot operations, and plant shutdowns.
- Conduct discussions with plant, sales, and marketing teams to optimize supply chain operations.
- Monitor and improve on-time in-full (OTIF) performance and inventory productivity.
- Identify bottlenecks and plan for capacity to meet long-term sales requirements.
- These roles require a blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and effective communication and collaboration across various teams and stakeholders within the organization.
