DGM - Sourcing - A large diversified Indian Retail MNC with 2000+ Cr turnover

Overview : This position is responsible for sourcing activities in local unit, in close collaboration and alignment with Sourcing team. This includes driving the implementation of sourcing category plans in the local units as well as local supplier selection, negotiation and managing alignment of sourcing Merchandiser, and practices & procedures. There will be responsibility to work with business stakeholders & category manager to ensure that the sourcing activity is delivered effectively & contracts are reviewed & negotiated. Lead the Business Sourcing Process, whilst guaranteeing maximum value & innovation and responsibility to ensure the contracts remain in force are effective & kept up to date with market trends, price, customer service competitiveness and regulatory change. Person will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the organization's sourcing and procurement strategy to ensure better sourcing of the right product at the right time for the right price.
Skills Required:
- Perform and analysis of monthly forecasting report to ensure and maintain acceptable inventory level
- Person should have strong analytical, negotiation, contracting and communication skills
- Should have adequate skills to develop and implement sourcing and negotiation strategies for the company
- Ability to think strategically so that the company can take advantage of business processes, industry dynamics, supplier experiences, and manufacturing practices, and general market conditions, etc
- Merchandise Sourcing Knowledge - Experience in sample development and with offshore production exposure; in large-sized buying house or trading company
- Drive Results - ability to analyze situations and proactively suggest solutions to meet deliverables
Candidate Profile:
- Experience of managing external partners and/or partners
- The candidate should be self-motivated and prepared to be hands-on, action orientated and energized by the opportunity to work with a growing business.
- Candidate should be excited by the potential of being the ambassador for fueling growth
- Experience in kids' brands business will be preferred
