Planning and Strategising

1. Ensuring optimal capacity utilization.

2. Operations MIS - Ensure timely availability of Operations MIS. (yields, sp. Consumption, costing, etc)

3. Measure, monitor and control various operating parameters, prepare structures and action plan to improve operations efficiency

4. He will ensure timely availability of Technical Services with respect to Process Improvement, Energy conservation, Trouble shooting, Process design.

5. He will co-ordinate with R&D for implementation of R&D improvement and new product projects in existing plants. He should be single point source for co-ordinating and tracking these activities

6. He will also co-ordinate with Projects for Process engineering of Plant modifications ,additions etc. and should be key member of the team preparing plant capex proposals

7. On time Alcohol FG availability for dispatches.

8. To decide on RM quality and composition.

9. Inventory Reduction of slow moving / non moving products like Intermediates, etc

10. To prepare Quarterly Report for Excise and also, 12/12 clause report for Duty drawback

- Policy and Process Design, Implementation and Review

- He has to follow the company policy and guidelines.

- Coordination, Interface, Imparting Training

1. Plant Head, HODs of other sections, other section technicians, etc.

2. He is expected to upgrade the skills and knowledge of his peers, subordinates, in all manufacturing functions.

3. Participation in discussion on product and process with various visitors like customers and bankers.

- Management of performance, capability and morale

- Trouble shooting ability, enthusiasm with high morale and team spirit

- Infrastructure and Technology Investment and Management

- Utilize effectively the assets, Technology and investment by meeting the ABP Targets.

- To ensure timely and accurate MIS data related to production Timely & accurate MIS Generation

- Analysis of the MIS data & preparation of the report

- No.of recommendations for improvement made to reduce negative variances

- To study all production related aspects and introduce improvisations in relation to various parameters Cost Reduction

- Savings in Time

- Increase in Productivity due to recommendations (mentioned in KRA 1) implemented

- To ensure that the team's training needs are met & to boost the morale of the team Number of seminars and industry conferences attended

- Average training man days per employee in the team

- Effective co-ordiantion between Projects, R&D, Production No. of arrangements/Modifications made on time

- No. of R&D improvements ensured by timely co-ordination with R & D

- No. of accurate process inputs given to projects

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

1. Sound in process engineering

2. Proven ability to build, sustain, and influence relationships, at all levels of the organization

3. Strategic Thinking and in-depth knowledge of Plant, DCS and production management

4. Should be able to take corrective actions to achieve desired results

5. He must have enough exposure, experience, expertise in all unit operations including distillation & fractionation, hydrogenation, catalysts in Oleochemical Industry

6. Strong skills in MS Excel & SAP

7. Ability to identify scope for improvements & to generate new ideas

8. Deep data analysis, planning and forecasting skills
