DGM - Marble Division - OMAN

Job title - Head of Marble Division


Deputy General Manager:

Mining & Quarrying Division


Job purpose:

- Heading the Marble Division (Factory and Quarry operations)

- The Marble Head should have the following experience

1. Knowledge of Marble Market

2. Marble Mining

3. Marble Factory Operation and Control.

MINIMUM 5 YEARS IN GULF IS REQUIRED

Core Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the achievement of the Annual Financial Budgets (Profitability and Cashflow) and the KPIs of the Division

2. Marble Quarry Operations:

- To lead the development and operations of quarries

- To achieve targeted production at the quarries

- To ensure optimum utilization of the manpower and equipment (chain saw, wire saw, drill machines, HEMs etc) at the quarries

- To ensure adequate maintenance of the equipment at the quarries

3. Marble Factory Operations:

- To lead the entire Factory operations

- To achieve monthly production and sales targets

- To ensure optimum utilization of the manpower and equipment (gangsaw, resin line, polish line, block cutter, tile split line, tile polish line etc.

- To ensure adequate maintenance of the equipment at the factory

4. To develop and implement best industry practices at the factory and quarries

5. Building good customer relations locally as well as in international markets resulting in effective and sustainable business development

6. Driving the Sales team to achieve the monthly revenue targets. Keeping the team motivated

7. Implementing and adhering to the best industry HSE standards at the Quarries as well as Factory

8. Liaising with various stakeholders, departments and peers for operational matters

9. Technically and financially evaluating new opportunities and projects and guiding Top Management for correct decision-making.

10. Continuously evaluating and introducing new technologies that can bring in more efficiency in mining and exploration operations of the Company

11. Identifying and appointing the right Technical Consultants for various activities in mining and exploration, monitoring their works and achieving the ultimate outcome.

Education requirements :

- Mechanical Engineer, Degree in Geology

- Language requirements English - Fluent (required)

Background and experience Competencies and skills:

- Around 15-20 years of relevant experience post qualification

- Working experience of SAP will be added advantage

- Having some qualification in the field of Finance shall be an additional advantage

- Strong personality

- Crystal clear communication

- Good Analytical skills

- Action & Solution oriented
