DGM - Manufacturing Engineering

- The aim of this role will be to bring in improvement in Process, Quality & Safety

- S/he needs to be Bachelor in Mech/Industrial/Automobile/Manufacturing/Prod engineering

- Expected to work on process improvement & process optimization with the aim to improve cost optimization productivity improvement

- Will be responsible for low cost automation, capacity planning, manpower planning

- Also will contribute in areas like new technology adoption, NPD feasibility studies

- Need exposure to following concepts - line balancing , motion studies cycle time reduction lay out improvements single piece flow pfmea, smed, jigs & fixtures, tools lean concept

- Industrial Engineering, Time Study, Motion Study

- Product Development

- Managing a high volume of Manpower

- Managing the workmen for achieving the periodic production targets.

- Co-ordinating the entire product development including requirement analysis, finalizing specifications, designing, prototype development and testing activities.

- Handling procurement of equipments & develop vendors & upgrade them on latest market trends/ technologies.

- Preparing Standard Operating Procedures, manuals & work instructions for production operations for the unit and maintaining MIS/ reports for facilitating decision making by the management.

- Relationship management with clients and interfacing with them for negotiating deals/ prices.

- Imparting continuous on job training to the workforce for enhancing their productivity & operational efficiencies through knowledge enhancement / skill building.

- Coordinating with other departments viz Purchase, Marketing to ensure smooth flow of operations.

Team Management

- Organise training internal/external programmes based on the training need analysis to elevate the skills & productivity of employees.

- Handle the grievances of the employees and timely resolutions of same.

- Monitoring discipline at the shop floor for an accident free & safe work culture.

Quality Control

- Improving Quality / Productivity / Reliability at manufacturing with continual improvement.

- Establishing quality standards, implementing stringent quality control systems

- Reducing rejection level & rework through continuous up gradation of quality circles to observe better compliance in line with changing customer requirement.

- Process Enhancement & Cost Control

- Handling operations for improvement in existing products based on market trends & requirements.

- Monitoring production processes as well as implementing line balancing systems and lean manufacturing to achieve standardization and reduce costs.

- Implementing various activities in the organization to ensure that there is little or no manufacturing material inventory on hand at the manufacturing site.

- Executing cost saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in Operation & Maintenance expenditures and work within the budget.
