DGM/Manager - Innovation

We have an opening for the position of DGM/Manager-Innovation with an leading company based out at Gurgaon.

Educational Level

Must have:

- Bachelor Degree of Engineering

- Preferably an MBA from recognized business school

Working Experience

Must have:

- Minimum of 3-12 years of total experience

- Related experience in IT/ Telecommunications, Internet companies, technology start-ups and domains such as 3rd party enablers (APIs, bi-directional business models), security solutions, content optimization, M2M, NFC and device clients etc.

Compensation :-

- Upto 18 Lacs for Manager(2 to 5 years of exp.)

- Upto 35 Lacs for DGM(5 - 12 years of exp.)

Note :- - High degree of communication skills. Required to engage with senior management of world’s Top order technology companies.

Job Profile:

1. Play important role to support future adoption of consumer products & technologies and other group companies.

2. Track emerging technology trends, business models, competition moves across in spheres of data, messaging, content, media, entertainment, commerce & supporting products.

3. Design detailed benchmarking reports across local & global telecom players and support ICE champion.

4. Program & manage linkages with internal and external stakeholders to drive non-voice revenues

Deliverables (Maximum 5-6 key responsibilities)

Operational level (Global):

1. Identify successful products of one territory & replicate across other territories through extended collaboration with cross functional teams

2. Foster partnerships with alliances and drive product adoption by business / technology teams and thus achieve reduced time to market.

3. Keep close track on developments in global telecom sector and identify key differentiators should adopt to build differentiators in its markets.

Products & partners level:

1. Identify, interact and introduce new partners with competent technology / products which can provide valuable propositions for target consumers.
Reporting level:

2. Define milestones, track their achievement and report to ICE champion to bring in rigor in the overall innovation process.

3. Periodic report on innovation process key performance indicators and measurement metrics

4. Develop short term and long term innovation roadmap for key strategic areas. Document innovation roadmap and support ICE champion in designing overall innovation strategy

Major Challenges :

Role with attitude for innovation and technology:

- Profile needs to understand technology and track global trends. Need to be abreast on developments, keep respective domain at the cutting edge and stay ahead with current innovations in the global arena. Shall possess end user perspective as a user of innovation experience.

- Cross functional perspective and strong program management skills: Requires coordination with internal stake holders and developing a structured product and innovation process and cross-functional team (of 3rd party vendors, Marketing, IT, Customer Services, Networks teams) to ensure a world class customer experience and product offering - Requires a clear and logical thought process.

- Building strong relationships with partners: Build good relationships with partners and engage with right resources to match the organization’s requirements and help partner's scale internal roadblocks to be drive innovation agenda and product delivery.

- Embrace a startup culture: Requires ability to work in a startup culture to drive agility, organization wide collaboration among cross functional teams, passion for innovation and technology

Dimensions

Impact of position on :

New Product Development: Developing, integrating & rollout of new products in a year, which are first time right.

- Document and execute proof of concept for ideas as per innovation plan
Revenue: Support ICE champion and cross functions teams to delivery new product platforms and drive new revenue

- Document and release of Innovation MAPA to concerned stake holders

Customer experience: First hand user to provide overall feedback on customer experience. Consistently strive to build a user experience that is world class, simple, easy to use and enhances stickiness to brand

- Measure, document and publish CSAT scores for customer experience of new products

- Document and publish internal feedback on the POCs
