DGM/GM Sales & Marketing Metal Deco
Position Overview:
- The Deputy General Manager - Metal Deco is responsible for leading the establishment and management of a new metal deco product line within the company (product management). This role requires developing and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, as well as creating a supply-chain ecosystem to support the successful launch and ongoing operations of the new product. The Deputy General Manager - Metal Deco will play a pivotal role in driving growth, ensuring operational efficiency, and achieving business objectives.
- This position reports to Head of Sales and Marketing.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical (or allied) Engineering, An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- About 15 years of relevant experience. These skill sets can be found in candidates who have worked in Organisations like Akzo, BASF, Huber et al.
Key Responsibilities:
Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target customers, market trends, and competitive landscape for the new metal deco product.
- Develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, including pricing, positioning, distribution channels, and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create effective promotional campaigns, sales collateral, and customer engagement plans.
- Monitor market feedback, customer preferences, and industry developments to refine and adapt the go-to-market strategy as needed.
Production/Supply-chain Ecosystem Development:
- Design and establish a robust production ecosystem to support the manufacturing and delivery of the new metal deco product.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, procurement, and operations, to identify and acquire necessary resources, equipment, and technologies.
- Develop production plans, workflows, and quality control processes to ensure efficient and high- quality manufacturing operations.
- Implement systems for inventory management, supply chain coordination, and production scheduling to optimize productivity and minimize lead times.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing team to execute the go-to-market strategy and manage the production ecosystem.
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Set clear goals, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive business growth, explore new market opportunities, and address customer needs.
- Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance visibility and build strategic partnerships.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to track the success and effectiveness of the go-to-market strategy and production ecosystem.
- Monitor sales performance, production efficiency, customer satisfaction, and other relevant metrics.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, achievements, and areas for improvement to senior management.
Skills and Qualifications:
