DGM/GM - Operations - Chemical Industry

Purpose of the position: To provide functional and people leadership to Operations function at Ekalbara Site, sustain and improve operations enhancement systems and initiatives on ongoing basis.

Key Result Areas & Deliverables - 

- To ensure effective planning, organizing, directing, controlling & coordinating activities related to the production, maintenance of plant and machinery, energy conservation, cost control, resources management and rationalization of people.

- To ensure effective manufacturing processes, monitor critical process parameters and guide the manufacturing team for troubleshooting.

- To take leadership in providing direction, and example in the development and retention of a safe working environment.

- To evaluate the performance of reporting departments against objectives and intervene where appropriate.

- To ensure that information flow to work groups is timely and that expectations are clear.

Job Size & Scale - 

Financial: To enhance the Company's turnover by ensuring production targets as per the AOP and RRP norms.

Team Size: Shared resources in the capacity of Sr. Manager - Operations, Manager Operations, Dy. Manager - Operations, Asst. Manager - Operations, Executive Operations.

Routine Deliverable:

- To set production targets & coordinate in planning for achieving the objectives & goals.

- Monitor and control of repairs and maintenance cost without compromising on safety and other improvement initiatives.

- Monitor and control of contract labour monitoring the labour used on a daily work practices, avoidance of rework etc.

- Understand the effluent generation at different stages of manufacturing and take initiative for its reduction by different methods like avoidance, recycling, treat-ability etc.

- To ensure production planning activities are carried out, and coordinated effectively with Sales, Purchasing and Logistics.

- To organize the production activities so as to maximize service to the customer at the optimum cost.

- To ensure in delivering the finest quality of material as the requirements.

- To encourage effective way outs for attaining the smooth flow of operations.

- To deliver a cooperative approach in problem solving and ensure that the issues are concerned and addressed in a timely manner & with positive outcome.

- To carry out periodical review, monitoring Operations & expenditure to analyze cost control system and presenting to the management.

- To organize and conduct management Review meetings every quarter.

- To organize the production activities so as to maximize service to the customer at the optimum cost.

- To plan, co-ordinate and comply with Internal Audit requirements.

- To optimize the utilization of available resources in best and effective manner.

- To evaluate the reports against the objectives and intervene where necessary.

- To ensure effective maintenance of plant equipment and to lead work environment.

- To coordinate in training & development of employees.

- To ensure maintenance of statutory records and submit to concern authorities for inspection/audit as and when required
