Served as Accounts Head for minimum 5 years. Compensation cap: Rs 25 lakhs About the company - Belongs to a 50-year-old, professionally managed diversified group with Rs 5000 cr turnover - Sugar Business is 18+ years old, with multiple units in South India having a turnover of Rs 500+ crs Job Description: - Responsible for Leading the Accounts team across the Sugar Vertical and report to CFO. Also responsible for Accounts - Consolidation and Finalisation for the entire Sugar Vertical and Handle Internal &amp; External Auditors Key Accountabilities : - Review Trial balance and follow up units for monthly closing activities. - Ensure all monthly closing activities are performed at unit level as per standard checklist. - Comparative analysis of monthly Profit and Loss account and balance sheet. - Collection of Quantitative data for Stock valuation purpose - Ensure monthly BRS is done for all units, post pending bank entries for all units. BRS Tracker devising and follow-up. - Review finance entries and ensure all finance entries are posted for all units. - Review of Capitalisation of assets and follow up with units for supporting documents, validation of capitalisation etc. - Performing SAP activities for units and corporate i.e Reclass entries etc. - Closing books of accounts on 5th work day for preparation of BRS by Costing Team - Review GST balances, coordinate with units for posting pending entries with respect to GST. - Preparation of Quarterly standalone and consolidated financials for all 3 companies (5 units) - Preparation of schedules (PL and BS) for Quarterly Board meeting - Quarterly TB review, posting adjustment entries as required - Collection of quantitative data for stock valuation, completing Quarterly stock valuation and posting entries - Collection of finance expenses data and ensure completeness all finance entries. - Review of vendor ageing, customer ageing and posting adjustment entries as required. - Review Fixed assets, deletions report and updating in financials. - Sending Financials set to Secretarial and Costing teams for Board circulation. - Support work to Costing team in providing schedules, variance analysis etc. - Clearing up of books in various areas like Prepaid expenses (Insurance &amp; Non Insurance), Bank entries, etc.. - Coordinating with auditors for completing final audits of all entities, Schedules (CAS) submission for all entities. - Preparation of standalone and consolidated annual financial statements. - Resolving audit queries, preparation of workings for schedules, finalise accounts and get it approved by auditors, CFO. - RPT balances recon, FAR for all entities, Notes to accounts etc. - Coordinating with auditors for completing final audits of all entities, Schedules (CAS) submission for all entities. - Preparation of standalone and consolidated annual financial statements. - Resolving audit queries, preparation of workings for schedules, finalise accounts and get it approved by auditors, CFO. - RPT balances recon, FAR for all entities, Notes to accounts etc. - Review of GST return workings and ensure accounting entries are posted. - Monthly corporate TDS remittance for few months and posting entries as required. - Preparation of Service Tax/GST ISD workings and distribution to units, posting entries as required.
