DGM - Engineering & Design - Steel

Our client which is one of India's leading Steel PEB and related Infra organization based at Noida is looking for senior person. This role is primarily responsible for complete Design & Detailing of Pre-Engineered Steel buildings handled through Engineering teams consisting of Engineers & Detailers.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Plan, organize engineering activities of the design and estimation to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.

2. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, structural stability, soundness, design safety, conformance with relevant design codes at optimum cost.

3. Assist field sales in recommending on optimum design solutions on special projects and ensure design is compatible with design requirements.

4. Enhance existing computerized design and drafting applications to improve Productivity and cycle time.

5. Participate meetings with consultants to secure approval of design submittals.

6. Site visits to analyze and propose solutions for field problems and erection errors. Training engineers to achieve optimum results.

7. Leading group of design engineers in carrying out the design and detailing of south,east ,north & west region of projects during the quote & job stage.

8. Engineering & approval of design drawing and release of drawing for erections and manufacturing.

9. Alert other departments such as special and non standard inventory items, special requirements & discrepancies in material quantities.

10. Review questions, answer questions and follow up drafting section to make sure the designs are clear & schedule is maintained.

Key Requirements

1. Education- Bachelor degree in (Structures)/(Civil) and Master degree in (Structures) / (Civil) from reputed institutes like IIT/ REC

2. Experience

(a) Minimum 10 years to 15 years

(b) Experience in the designing of heavy structural steel buildings & connections for industrial plant,cement plants, warehouses etc with IS-800 & AISC design

3. Knowledge & Skills

(a) Ideal candidate should have work experience in relevant field i.e design and detailing of high rise steel/ composite structure, connection design, work experience with international software for design & detailing such as Staadpro,Tekla,Revit Strucutre, etc.

(b) Must be having expertise in Staad, MBS, and other international software for design of heavy steel structure

(c) Excellent Knowledge of Indian & American design codes is a must
