EXPECTED END RESULTS MAJOR ACTIVITIES

Lead the department objectives and plans for localization, remote engineering, AE, global sourcing and project management

Lead Adaptation and localisation activities within the chassis product engineering team

Monitor project management and competitor vehicle bench marking activities

Lead the global sourcing, remote engineering and parts off-shoring activities from India

Manage the cost saving and quality management initiatives and targets for projects within the team

Lead technical reviews for cost saving and quality management activities for all vehicles

Lead the Warranty Analysis/ initial quality survey (IQS) for chassis technology

Monitor the quality, cost and timelines targets for all components projects before SOP

Ensure effective allocation and utilization of the team budget and track department KPIs

Manage team budget allocation and utilization and coordinate with the GM of Chassis to ensure budget control

Monitor department KPIs (budget and headcount) and ensure effective utilization of the budget

Ensure effective knowledge management, business development and headcount expansion practices

Manage knowledge and practice sharing sessions and ensure that best practices from one team are implemented across teams

Manage the headcount expansion and ensure effective team structures

Manage people development initiatives within the team and ensure effective manpower planning/utilization

Address internal grievances/queries, performance related issues and team management issues

Lead recruitment, training and development initiatives within the team and ensure skill/capability development

Monitor team and individual performance and provide reward and recognition based incentives

Support building of capacity development plans and ensure that competencies for future are developed within the team

Ensure training and development needs are met and provide development opportunities
