DGM for Category Manager

JD :

Responsible for 6P's of marketing:

(i) Product Planning & Innovation (menu planning)

(ii) Proposition

(iii) Packaging &

(iv) Pricing

(v) Promo mix planning and landing the innovation at store (Place) to drive category growth and build brand love amongst Food FMCG fans.


Key Accountabilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for :

(i) Right product and comms brief

(ii) GTM of innovation

(iii) Hold the category

- P&L and be the custodian of Integrated brand comms mix, along with CMO of Foods FMCG Brand

- High stakes cross functional team work : Work with NPD / SC teams to develop concept for Innovation and run a IPM & stage gate forum. Develop and commercialize the product launch end to end.

1) End to End Marketing Mix planning

(2) Work on brand positioning/ proposition & at same time product & pricing

(3) Shorter Innovation cycle so fast paced learnings

(4) How to re-stage the brand in retail environment

(5) This is one of the key roles in the Food FMCG organisation

- Execute monthly and quarter operating plan: Work with team on operationalizing the quarterly and monthly innovation and renovation calendar. Make sure the the monthly product planning & S&OP ( Volume of innovation / business as usual) is planned with the SC and ops team. Person time is spent on monthly volume, launch of LTO's, campaign tasks, key brand visibility intervention. The incumbent with his team member will deliver - GTM of the category and mixes to activation team

Brand Growth, Activity and P&L ownership:

- Work like an entrepreneur, who is obsessed to get consumer proposition right > Product Price and promotion plan for the month. The things which the incumbent will control every day are quarterly activity plan / business case planning for new SKU launch / Visibility mix adoption and deployment / Weekly and monthly category growth plan alignment with store sales (OPS) and supply chain team

Build Excitement: Brand comms and brand planning skills

- Own the marketing mix elements for instore activities, new launches across omni channel. The incumbent will lead the product launch system work, business cases launch volume, business case, SAP execution.

Team Leadership:

- The person has a brand manager reporting into the role. Overseeing the work and mentoring the team for excellence is LM responsibility. Also the person works very closely with stake holders, as one point contact for finance / NPD.

- Coaching and professionally managing the relationship with other stake holders, is a quit essential in this role

- The person will fully own the launch and growth of FMCG Foods merchandize, which sparks consumer love.

Key job fundamentals are:

- Lead business case planning, ( volume calculation, estimation and financials) pricing/ instore promotion planning.

- Responsible for Brand Audit: Monthly - competitive and Product P&L analysis, using internal & external data to find gaps in portfolio / pricing strategy and importantly quick in feeding the needs of market

- Comprehensive benchmarking (across 4P's) in direct and indirect competitive categories

- Good understanding of the project management and ability to influence cross functional teams on project charters

- Work with creative partners to be ready with communication for mediums which builds a retail brand and fully deliver brand comms for big scale days activities

- Launching impulse range of products in Food FMCG which can be a good brand fit and can be retailed in Food FMCG Brand.
