Business Development Manager
Roles & Responsibilities of Business Development Manager:
1. Human Resource Responsibilities:
- Responsible for recruiting as and when required in sync with the HRM.
- Responsible for orienting, training & assigning OJT as per the requirement.
- Coaching, counseling and maintaining discipline within the direct reportees.
- Monitoring & communicating job expectations to the team.
- Planning, appraising and reviewing job contributions for the team.
- Planning and reviewing compensation actions as and when required.
- Enforcing policies and procedures.
- Controlling Attrition of the team.
- Setting up Capability Development Exercises for the team.
- Practicing reporting structure for the team.
2. Achieving Sales Objectives for the Region:
- Prepare Sales Action Plan with respect to the target.
- Recommend strategic planning keeping in mind Quality & Compliance.
- Forecast quarterly sales figures in co ordinance with a strong action plan
3. Sales Responsibilities:
- Responsible for New Business Development for the entire region by signing contracts with minimum commitment amount.
- Responsible for Customer Account Management to ensure the minimum commitment amount or last month billed amount is maintained.
- Increase Customer Account Revenue through up-sell & cross-sell
- Responsible for all product Selling - Surface Express, Full Truck Load & Solution Selling
- Maintain Customer data base and ensure existing customer maintenance.
- Responsible for Customer Account Analysis month on month and making reports around it with the support of the CRM team.
- Contract renewal with upward rate revision.
- Periodic Customer Meet.
- Bill Submission & Collection.
4. Other Responsibilities:
- Target Setting for Team & Region.
- Monitoring team performance.
- Maintaining team motivation & rapport.
- Conduct Periodic review meetings with HO & Team for better performance.
- Create Daily Sales Report and monitor Daily Sales Report of the team.
- Stake Holder Management.
- Responsible for product wise yield generation in consultation with HO & OPS.
Skills & Qualification needed:
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills.
- Negotiation Skills.
- Research & Strategy.
- Business Intelligence & Networking.
- Bachelor's/PG degree in relevant field or others.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Sales & Operations, Collection, Customer Service, Customer retention, New Business Development
