Development Lead- Senior Architect

About the Role

We are seeking passionate Engineering lead for in-house platform build out leveraging core technologies. The successful candidate should have development, enterprise-level design and architectural experience in driving efforts across the regions.

Relevant Experience

15+ years relevant experience in designing, building and implementing robust, scalable high performing technology solutions

Primary Responsibilities :

- Build new frameworks or enhance existing ones, using a generic pattern mindset for scale across multiple dimensions - optimized compute/performance, functional, visualization, quality control which can then be used and extended by the development team.

- Design and develop scalable, performant platform processing large volumes and providing solutions in an agile approach. Work with Financial Markets and firm wide teams as required, to integrate the platform. Partner with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions - deep understanding of the problem, domain and context along with ownership are key to be successful in this role

- Closely work with the Senior Management Team, Product Owner and other technology stakeholders as appropriate. Have strong views and be Opinionated on key technological decision points and design and, represent the team in wider tech forums. Provide technology leadership throughout the delivery phase

Hands on experience on the following technology stack

Mandatory Skills :

- 12+ years working experience in Core Java, Concurrent programming, Latest Java features eg : Spring Cloud, Spring Boot

- Strong Experience in designing and building Microservices

- Strong experience in designing and developing enterprise-level, high-performance applications

- Strong Experience in Database: PostgreSQL, Oracle, or any other relational

- Good understanding of messaging - JMS, Kafka, ActiveMQ, Solace

- Working experience of containers: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

- Strong understanding of Service discovery, Service Register - Eureka/Zookeeper, Service configuration - e.g. Spring Cloud config + GitHub, Service IPC - Restful/Json, ProtocBuf, Spring Dubbo, Service Operation - Logger Aggregate (rsyslog + Kafka), Splunk.

- Good working knowledge of GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible

- Experience of using Dev Ops to drive CI/CD to achieve efficiencies in delivery e.g. Jenkins / GitHub /Gradle/Maven Python / Ansible, Apache Ant

- Experience in circuit breakers e.g. Hystrix

- Experience in API Gateways - ZUUL

Good to have :

- Understanding of caching technologies such as Redis, EhCache

- Awareness of big data stack - Hadoop, Hive, Spark

- Awareness of UI stack- React, Angular

- Good to have Rules engine understanding
