Role Description - Summary :
- As Team Lead, the successful candidate will be hiring and managing a small team and oversee their engagement in a variety of initiatives to further enhance the bank's Treasury risk management framework. The role offers the opportunity to develop experience in a number of different Treasury disciplines and deliver team outcomes in a fast changing business & regulatory environment.
- The main focus of the India Team's deliveries are Strategic Asset & Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Issuance & Capital.
- The team leader will be responsible for steering the team's interactions with US Treasury as well as in country Operations and Finance.
Responsibilities / Tasks :
The candidate taking this role will be guiding the team in the following important activities:
- Build and lead a growing team of skilled TSY professionals to extend and complement the capabilities of the US team wrt skill-set, content and time zone
- First-line Treasury risk assessment
- Develop, optimize and implement balance sheet optimization strategies in cooperation with business partners and within existing DB framework
- Model and optimize products from the liquidity and interest rate views and perspectives
- Assess impact of new business activities on local resources
- Development and implementation of group and entity plans to ensure the efficient deployment of capital resources in North America - from capital projections for various initiatives, legal entiy and balance sheet management to Capital Plan documentation
- Examination and investigation of certain limit breaches with escalation to the respective country or regional Treasurers
- Liquidity reporting including forecasting
- Leading the IRRBB production: develop and maintain a strong data quality control framework and produce timely and accurate risk management reporting
- Support for US processes and overall MIS reporting (e.g. ALCo preparation)
- Special projects and ad-hoc analyses
Experience / Exposure
- 12+ years experience in the banking/finance industry or a Corporate treasury department
- Solid understanding of both global and local banking regulations (e.g. Basel III, CRD IV, CCAR)
- Team handling exposure including conflict management; coaching; mentoring etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail orientation & service commitment
- Experience of interacting with Senior Mgt/Leadership team; Banking Industry exposure would be an advantage
- Well-organised with good project management skills
- Solution oriented, self driven & positive attitude
- Strong Listening ability (non-reactive manner & with composure)
- Reasonable understanding of service delivery & governance framework in an off-shoring environment.
- Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills, leading efforts to ensure seamless coordination between local and US teams
- Show initiative and react quickly to changes in priorities.

Education/ Qualifications :
- University graduate or equivalent degree in finance, economics, mathematics or engineering is a must. Masters qualifications or above would be considered an advantage.
